Ladies Fellowship trip to Stevington, August 2012

On one of the very few dry and sunny days last August the great majority of our members enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Kathy Brown in her garden at Stevington.  Kathy is a professional and well respected plantswoman who has cultivated a stunning garden reflecting both her love of horticulture and moments in her life such as her homage to the artists Monet and Mondrian.

After the tour of the garden with Kathy, we all enjoyed a cup of tea and cake sitting around the garden and gazebo.  Our beverages ranged from a good old English cuppa to a lavender tea!  The rose petal cake was particularly tasty!  All of us agreed that we would like to go again to see the garden in its different seasons, either as individuals or perhaps another outing there in a future programme.

Members so clearly enjoyed out first venture into a formal garden outing that it is planned to include another in this year’s programme.
