Collection for Northampton Hope Centre

St Peter’s Church supports the Northampton Hope Centre, which has worked with homeless and socially excluded people since 1974.

The Hope Centre is receiving fewer donations this year as many churches are still unable to hold services.  They regularly provide meals to 140 people including 40 sleeping on the streets of Northampton.

Hope Centre particularly need:

Tinned food: meat, vegetables, potatoes,

Small packs of rice

Cous Cous, Pot Noodles, custard and rice pudding

Long Life Milk, sauces for pasta

Disposable gloves

Takeaway boxes, disposable cups with lids and cutlery

Men’s warm clothing, underwear size medium and warm socks, can be used but must be clean and in good condition

Shampoo, soap, shower gel and tooth paste; these could be miniature products for single use or slightly larger for several days. Combs and toothbrushes, deodorant.

Sleeping bags.

I’ m sure anything would be appreciated. Let’s not wait until Christmas but do it now.

You can leave donations at the Village Hall, in Church or at 114 Station Road.
